the GE-DI MK4 is a direct box using a Germanium Mullard transistor and transformer output balancing.

the DI is powered with +48v from your microphone preamp.

the bass is deep, a nice softness in the transients and a Harmnique  coloring
the box can be used for guitar, bass, synthesizer, etc.
if you are looking for a color smooth distortion harmonics is the right choice.

GE-DI  circuitry will enhance the character of electrified instrument run through it !

this DI is not designed to be as transparent as possible on the contrary it is made to be an instrument in its own right for your musical creation
the head room is low which will give the possibility of saturating your synth with an input of 0DB 775mv

A switch has been added to this version
It allows you to add a boost to bass guitar instruments
which will add a nice color
when the switch is at the bottom, it allows the line level for the synthesizers not to saturate
